The notorious Caminito del Rey, once known as one of the world’s scariest and most dangerous hiking routes, has received a multi-million euro restoration and is now available as part of one of Spain’s most spectacular walking trails.
El Chorro is a small village close to the Caminito del Rey. The gorge runs from the outlet of the "Embalse del Gaitanejo" to "El Chorro". There are two extremely narrow sections at each end of the gorge with a wider bowl in between. The old Málaga-Cordoba railway line also runs through the gorge in a set of tunnels and bridges.
